IconDraw for Windows 3.0 Version 1.00
-------------------------------------
by Philip B. Eskelin, Jr. and Michael Gates. Shareware.
Readme.txt file.
The Reason I developed this shareware application is twofold. First,
I saw a demand for a utility that people could use which would allow
them to customize their graphical user interface. Second, I used
this accomplishment as a learning experience. I am half way through
college, and this opportunity has allowed me to learn a great deal
about a programming in an application interface. The following lists
certaing tips wich may be useful when using my app:
Adding your icon to the Program Manager.
---------------------------------------
1. Save your creation with an .ico extension.
2. Go to the Program Manager and click once with your mouse on
the icon you wish to change.
3. Choose Properties from the File Menu of the Program Manager.
4. Click on the "Change Icon..." button.
5. Type in the Full path to the icon file you just created
(e.g. "c:\windows\myicon.ico").
6. Click on OK. Click on OK.
You will notice that the icon in the Program Manager is now changed to
the icon which you just edited.
Tips for Use
------------
1. The Right Mouse button will erase one dot a time.
2. Currently, transparency is not implemented in our application. The
next version will contain support for transparency. For now, we
suggest you paint in the background color of the icon as the same color
as the Program Manager Groups.
3. It is recommended to have EGA or better resolution.
4. The icon you make will not show when you minimize the application you
are using. The icon resource which is hard-coded into the application
will be the one shown.
